I. Application Background and System Overview
With the worsen public security in our society, home invasion burglary and robbery are no longer just cinematic stories anymore, but actually occur frequently in real life. It is a serious challenge for current bank security system to deal with armed robbery and protect human life and assets. The bank double-door interlocking entrance-safeguard system provided by our company can greatly reduce various risks and has been widely adopted by many industrial sectors, especially in banks, stock exchanges, and postal industries.
We first explain the principle behind double-door interlocking. The so-called double-door interlocking linkage refers to the interlocking function between two doors. When one door is opened, the other door will be locked; only when both doors are in closed status can one of them be opened. According to bank’s safety management standard, the entry point of cash counter, such as a saving outlet, must deploy double doors. According to bank security standard, when an employee enters one door, she can open and enter the second door only after she has locked the first door. If the first door is not locked as required, the employee will not be able to go through the second door. This strict procedure is enforced to prevent criminals from tailgating an employee in gaining indoor access.
Bank robbery usually happens when criminals tailgate or coerce bank employee to enter business hall to carry out criminal activities. No matter which way criminals take, they have to enter one or two safeguard doors to enter the business hall. To prevent such a criminal activity, the essential point is on how to control the access through safeguard doors, and immediately alter security guards or police. The double-door interlocking system produced by our company is a specially designed entrance guard controller, which has a clever design to control safeguard doors and prevent criminals from gaining access through either tailgating or coercing.
Ⅱ. Detailed Description of the Main Functions
1. linkage (or double-door interlocking) function: if one door is not closed, the other door is surely locked.
For example: If the outside door is not closed, the system will generate voice prompt “please close the outside door”. In this case, both the inside door’s password card reader and the door opening button will be invalid, resulting in the inside door staying locked. The system will enable inside door’s password card reader and door opening button only after the outside door is closed.
On the other side, If the inside door is not closed, the system will generate voice prompt “please close the inside door”. In this case, both the outside door’s password card reader and the door opening button will be invalid, resulting in the outside door staying locked. The system will enable outside door’s password card reader and door opening button only after the inside door is closed.
2. Anti-tailgating (or coercing alarm) function: every card reader with the two doors can raise alarm
Explicit alarm password: Entering the explicit alarm password, the system will generate explicit alarm signal (i.e., activate the explicit alarm electric relay), which will lock both doors at the same time! This alarm can only be disabled when the “linkage key” on the indoor 5-key keypad is pressed, which will resume the normal operation of the system.
Silent alarm password: Entering the silent alarm password, the system will generate the silent alarm signal (i.e., activate the silent alarm electric relay), which will lock both doors at the same time! This alarm can only be disabled when the “linkage key” on the indoor 5-key keypad is pressed, which will resume the normal operation of the system.
3. Illegal user alarm function: if there are 5 consecutive illegal usages, the sound and light alarm device will generate alarm signal. The system will automatically lock for 5 minutes and then resume normal operation, or resume normal operation when the linkage key is pressed.
